Lets see what the bible says about Santa Claus shall we? My comments are underlined.

Parents spoil their kids with vain gifts.

Colossians 2:8 - Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

This one is important. Satan puts lights on your house on Christmas because he wants to be like God. Look here.

James 1:17 - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Isaiah 63:2 - Wherefore [art thou] red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?

    Satan says,

    Isaiah 14:14
“I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

This is why Satan Claus's voice has an echo when he says, ho ho ho.....Becaus its satan acting like God from the book of Revolations. Water ripples like a voice that echos. That is what Jesus sounds like when He comes back.

    Revolations 14:2
And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps

First, let me share with you the passage.

      Matthew 7:14
“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

At first it sounds like once you find the path its narrow and if you take one step off it you're done. You might think you was doing really well trying to be a christian in your life and oops you watched some porn, drank some beer, and maybe shot someone. Then you may ask for forgiveness again and be good for 2 months. Next thing you know you rob a bank. Now this starts to get repetitive and you remember this quote from the bible. I mean, MY PATH don't seem straight at all.

Here is what this passage really means.

When it says "narrow is the way," this means that all religions of the world are the wrong path including being agnostic. The only true path is Jesus from the King James bible.

When it says, "straight is the gate," this means that once you find the truth there is nothing that can take you off a straight line to heaven because you have finally found the truth which Jesus never changes nor requires us to take bends in the road to heaven.

This passage does not mean you are bound by the law and have to walk as perfect as Jesus did. That's impossible. This clearly means once you find the truth of Jesus and the Gospel you're on a straight path spiritually truthfully. There is no longer any bends in the road.

if you think you have to live under the law of God to go to heaven then Jesus died for nothing. Once you get past this part you can then let Jesus do the work, which he did, and you can let the path be straight that you walk on because it's not your path but Jesus's path and you finally understand the truth on what it takes to have faith and that its not of yourself that you are getting to heaven.
I don't know about where you live, but in my area, driving straight is not always a good idea. Roads curve, and if you keep going straight anyway, you are likely to make a sudden, painful acquaintance of a tree. If the gate is narrow, you'd best measure its width, and that of your vehicle. If you don't, you'll get stuck in the gate, rip the sides off your vehicle, or damage it or the gate, or both. By the way, if you enter "the back gate," you are not "straight."

Men and women of the forum. I don't want you to believe the bible only so you can live a life better and be nice to people and all of this. I want you to believe the bible because this angel called satan is deceiving you with lies to cause you to burn in hell forever. The bible tells us all about this piece of shit. I do not want to see one of you cast into hell forever. I want you all to go to heaven.

Satan is the master deceiver and the only way out of his grasp in by reading the word of the King James Gospel which shall open your eyes and you shall see clear. Being saved is something I think about on a daily basis. Its not something you work on or work at once you understand and are saved. But there is a road to understanding and once you understand after reading the word of God and excepting Jesus as your saviour in truth, then you have won the race.

        1 Corinthians 9:24
Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

I don't place much stock in the Bible because proselytizing pests like you have shown me that the more "devout" and "evangelical" a person is, the farther his or her "faith" is from what is actually written in the Bible. To quote Groucho Marx, "I would never join a club that would have me as a member." That includes the "God Club" you call a "church."

you've got work to do son.

That is common among fervent evangelicals. Too much time inflicting their faith on others and not enough time spent reading about it in the scriptures it is based on.

He's new to Christianity and coming from a more evangelical viewpoint.

Christians as individuals have different viewpoints, just like any group. I personally think the Earth is billions of years old, and God may have set evolution in motion.

What Fork posted in the OP is spot on. A lot of non-believers think you have to walk around like some saint if you're a Christian, and you're a hypocrite if you don't.

It's not like that at all.

              This.

And I dont know why this is so difficult for some people to understand. There are some wonderful and beautiful lessons in there about love, mercy, and acceptance. Ironically, most of which seem to be lost on the self proclaimed believers.

                Cliff,
I'm not new to Christianity. You are being deceived by the devil into thinking man was not made by God's hands in an instant. The school system has brainwashed you and demoted God's ability to create instantly into having to wait millions of years for something to happen by chance.

My brother Cliff, I know where you came from. You came from modern day Christianity which has been taken over by the Roman Empire. I know who it is who sits at the throne of Rome. That my dear friend is the devils seat, sitting on that throne as if he were God. Your church has been infiltrated by the enemy. And I can guarantee you your church does not use the King James Bible.

It's okay, bro, we can have different points of view on this.

The important thing is we're both Christians and we're both saved, and we can jam together in Heaven.

The bad part is you are tossing out the book of Genesis because Rome tossed it out too in favor of evolution. You see, if the devil can persuade you God didn't make mankind with His hands instantly then the devil can work on you just like he did to Eve in the garden.

God created mankind on the 6th day as Genesis says so, King James.

if you believe in evolution then you are against God's word and have chosen to believe a lie which has been from the start Lucifers job to obtain.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

                      Cliff,

                      2 Timothy 4:3 - For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

                      Revelation 3:15 - 3:16

15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

However, he could have set this in motion billions of years ago? IOW, God may have created evolution?

I don't take a complete stand on evolution either way.

I think all will be revealed to us in the afterlife.

And yes, I'm more of a modern Christian, but I admire the evangelical viewpoint in that you guys can say "This is how it is, this is what it says, there is no interpretation" ... but, my mind doesn't work that way, Fork.

                            Hey Nut,

Do you know them Christians who hold signs up and walk around on the street and say gays and hookers and all the bad sins on the earth go to hell? And when you talk to them they say I used to do them but not anymore? HOGWASH. I am not one of them so do not ever think I am. I am a once saved always saved believer of the word of God unadulterated by fingers of mankind and truthfully transcribed to the English speaking people via King James Bible. (Not the New King James.) yes gays and sinners do go to hell without Jesus as a savior but it is not a requirement to stop these things to be saved or else Jesus died for nothing.

One day I will go in depth about bible translations.

evangelical is a bad word to me. I find it insulting to call me. That reminds me of them used car salesmen on television who sell you lies and expect something back. I'm not that. What I am is a man who knows the impact Rome has had on bibles, who knows where satans seat is in Rome, and believes every word from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

If you are following a false bible, one that exchanges the truth to a lie, then you are still held responsible for this even if billions of people are falling for the lie. This is why I say and have learned from my start in this all back 20 years ago that choosing the bible and who you listen to is important and puts your soul in danger if you have become cold and luke warm.

If you're going to fight for the truth then you better put as much effort into it as a UFC fighter does in their career. I'm not saying all UFC fighters know anything about the bible if any. I am saying put some elbow grease and effort into this or else God will know you half assed it.
