Colt has lost SO MUCH of the market share for AR-style rifles, this is truly insignificant. SO MANY other manufacturers are making AR-style rifles better and cheaper, Colt has become a secondary (or even tertiary) player in the civilian market. They're overpriced and underdeveloped. They have their military contracts, but that's for select-fire rifles---a distinction you hoplophobes don't seem to be able to comprehend. They can afford to leave the civilian market and suffer no ill consequences.

There are countless manufacturers who will take up the slack. This is not even a tiny blip on the screen. Means absolutely nothing.

Yup. Nobody buys Colt AR-15s anymore; they are too expensive for what you get.

I don't know, "Killed" seems cheap enough to me.

Too late. There are too many Armalite copies, clones and fakes out there, in the hands of too many people who shouldn't have them.

Well it's a step in the right direction, or an indicator that the tide is turning and that fewer people want military weapons in the hands off any whack job that can scrape up the money to buy one.

They're not really military weapons...they're military type weapons...the type that give all Rambo wannabes and kitty killers a hard on.

This is only temporary until they sell their inventory.

The decision had nothing to do with public pressure. It was a business decision
