Is There Really A Difference Between Expensive Vodka And Cheap Vodka?

Imo, from tasting a lot of premium vodkas, and reading on the subject, premium vodkas are largely a marketing tool, aka scam.

Vodka is the cheapest liquor to make. With modern stills they can make the finished product in as little as 4 days.

It is trut that all good Vodka's , in the price range of say 15 bucks a bottle to over a 100 bucks a bottle, taste the same.

There is however also a cheap crap category that is really horrible (e.g. Smirnoff)

One can't really go wrong with a bottle of Latvian Stoli

Well there is one cheap brand, Burnett's which I think is fine for mixed drinks and I don't do shots of vodka anyway. It's just ethanol. I don't see the point of drinking a shot of that.

                    Truth!

                    The Beluga was a gift.

Super cheap vodka is swill but, there´s no reason to spend big $$ on it.

Never understood how people could pay extra $$ for Smirnoff!

                          Cheers,

I don´t know about Holland but Beluga is about 3 times as expensive here as other drinkable vodka, for example danzka,

                              Way too much for vodka!

A bottle of Baikal or Green Mark is 10 € or less here.
